7thNavratra is for Kaalratri.It is the most violent form of Maa Durga and in this form she gives fearful looks. She is seen riding a donkey and has four hands. Kaalratri means Death of Kaal. Kaalratri is who destroys ignorance and darkness. There was a Demon with name Raktbeej he was having powers to be multiplied with his each drop of blood when it fells on the ground. Maa Kaalratri destroyed him and drank his all the blood before dropping a single drop on the ground.




Method for Kaalratri Pooja


On this day many Siddh Sadhu, Yogis and Sadhaks perform special Pooja and rituals during the night and in these methods Alcohol is also offered. But at homes simple Pooja is performed in the morning.Know how to perform this pooja with the help of tantra


-Place the idol of Maa Kaalratri on the Chowki.


-Place Kalash along with the Idol


-Make offerings of flowers, fruits, Sweets, Kumkum, Vermillion, Bel patra and honey.


-Now recite the given Mantra:



“Devya Yaya Tatmind Jagdatmashakta Nisheshdevgan Shaktisamuh Murtya”
